"Hello various friends spread around the world!

I've had quite a busy summer working on the music for The Brothers Bloom in Serbia and it is going well. I've got an exciting announcement for you that is the culmination of a lot of work. This month's podcast features a preview into Firecracker, the debut album by the amazing Katie Chastain. Many of you have asked about when you'll be able to get Katie's album and I'm excited to announce that it is available NOW!!!

For those of you who don't know, let me tell you a bit about it. Katie is an amazing singer and a really intriguing songwriter. We've been working on the Firecracker project for about 2 years with me in the producer's seat. Much of the album was recorded while on tour with The Cinematic Underground and you'll recognize loads of players from the band as well as a number of people featured on the Brick soundtrack.

I've been so excited about this project and let me just tell you, it is one of my favorite things that I've worked on so far. Click www.katiechastain.com and you'll be directed to Katie's myspace where you can listen to a few tracks and purchase the album... and for a nice preview and interview, check out episode 5 of the podcast.

I'll keep you posted on the progress of the movie score as well. Hope you're all having a good summer!"
